Which wage are Saudi entitlements based on?
End-of-service pay, leave pay and notice compensation are based on the actual wage: basic pay plus fixed allowances such as housing and transport. Overtime adds 50% of the basic hourly wage to the actual hourly wage.
Did the 2025 amendments change end-of-service pay?
No. Articles 84, 85 and 87 were not amended. The amendments changed notice periods (30 days for the worker, 60 for the employer), maternity leave (12 weeks) and some special leave, and regulated resignation in Article 79 bis.
When must final dues be paid?
Within one week of the end of the contract if the employer ends it, and within two weeks if the worker does (Article 88).
