| Hourly wage | Daily wage ÷ 8 | 25 |
| Weekly wage | Salary × 12 ÷ 52 | 1,384.62 |

Dividing by 30 is the method in the Saudi Labour Law and the UAE Labour Law for the daily and hourly wage in overtime, end-of-service pay and leave pay. Some contracts use actual working days, so choose the method in yours.
To price overtime at the legal rates, use the Saudi overtime calculator or the UAE overtime calculator, and for your hours the working hours calculator. Prefer Arabic? Use the Arabic version.
Frequently asked questions
How do I work out my daily wage from my monthly salary?
Divide the monthly salary by 30. This is the method used in Saudi Arabia and the UAE for most entitlements, such as overtime and end-of-service pay. A salary of 6,000 gives a daily wage of 200.
How do I work out my hourly wage?
Divide the daily wage by your daily working hours (8): 6,000 ÷ 30 ÷ 8 = 25 an hour. For overtime, Saudi Arabia adds 50% of the basic hourly wage and the UAE adds 25%.
How much is deducted for a day of absence?
A worker is not paid for days of unexcused absence, so one day's wage (salary ÷ 30) is deducted for each day, and the establishment's work rules may impose other penalties.
Do allowances count in the daily wage?
It depends on the entitlement: UAE gratuity uses basic salary, while Saudi end-of-service uses the actual wage (basic plus fixed allowances). So the calculator uses whichever salary you enter.
