Calculate your maximum support

Gross salary with allowances before deductions, and all income of the household and dependents. Loans are not deducted.
SAR 4 million for a family of 6 and SAR 1,371,200 for an independent (property, vehicles, cash and investments).

How Citizen's Account support is calculated

The program calculates support from household income, household size and the dependents' ages. The head of household or an independent weighs 100% of an individual's entitlement, a dependent aged 18 or over 50%, and a dependent under 18 30%, according to a 2017 circular. The full individual entitlement has been SAR 720 since July 2022, giving:

MemberWeightFull entitlement (SAR)
Head of household or independent100%720
Dependent aged 18 or over (including the wife)50%360
Dependent under 1830%216
Household cap (head + 2 over 18 + 3 under 18)290%2,088

The weights come from a circular reported by Okaz and the 720 from a 2022 program statement; we found no recent official document stating the same amount, so these figures are estimates. The reference-family cap and the SAR 20,000 maximum income were published officially in Umm Al-Qura in October 2023.

Exemption threshold and income cutoff

The program publishes neither the exemption threshold nor the cutoff for each composition; its official estimator shows both for each case. So our calculator gives the maximum your support cannot exceed, not the exact amount. In the October 2026 payment, 72% of eligible people received support, averaging about SAR 1,469 per family.

Eligibility

Additional support until the end of 2026

The additional support began in July 2022, raising an independent's entitlement from SAR 417 to 720, and has been extended several times, most recently to the end of 2026 by a royal order on 2 December 2025. No decision for 2027 had been issued by 3 November 2026, and there is no text on the amount if it is not extended.

Support is paid on the 10th of each Gregorian month; if that is a Friday it moves to Thursday, and if a Saturday to Sunday. The November and December 2026 payments are numbers 108 and 109, the latter being the last covered by the current extension. For a detailed countdown see Citizen's Account payment date.

Examples:
Head, wife, a 19-year-old son and 3 children: 720 + 2 × 360 + 3 × 216 = SAR 2,088 maximum, which is the household cap.
Head, wife and 4 children: 720 + 360 + 4 × 216 = SAR 1,944.
Head, wife and 6 children: 2,376 before the cap and 2,088 after it.
A household with income of SAR 20,500: no support regardless of size.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Citizen's Account pay an independent person?

The full entitlement for an independent is SAR 720 a month according to the program since July 2022, after the additional support was added (it was 417 before). It is paid in full if income does not exceed the person's exemption threshold and falls above it. An independent must be 18 or over, unmarried and have documented independent housing matching the national address.

What is the maximum Citizen's Account support for a family?

Since the October 2023 payment, no household gets more than the full support of a six-person reference family: the head, two dependents aged 18 or over and three under 18, about SAR 2,088 using the announced weights. Larger families do not get more.

What is the income cutoff (al-hadd al-mani') in the Citizen's Account?

The cutoff is the income above which a household gets no support. Its maximum is SAR 20,000 for any household; each household composition has its own cutoff, shown by the program's official estimator but not published in a table. Between the exemption threshold and the cutoff, support falls gradually.

Will the additional support continue in 2027?

The program and the additional support were extended to the end of 2026 by a royal order on 2 December 2025. No decision for 2027 had been issued by 3 November 2026; the two previous extensions were issued in late November and early December.

Which income counts for the Citizen's Account?

Gross salary with all allowances before pension deductions, business and freelance income, investment and property returns, Hafiz and SANED, university stipends and dependents' income. Loans and instalments are not deducted, and social security pensions are not declared.

Why doesn't the calculator give the exact amount?

Because the program does not publish the exemption threshold, the cutoff for each household composition or the taper rate; it refers people to its official estimator. So we show the maximum your support cannot exceed. For comparison, the average paid per family in October 2026 was about SAR 1,469.
