The deposit rule
- The 10th of each Gregorian month, the same rule since 2017.
- Friday: the deposit moves to Thursday the 9th.
- Saturday: the deposit moves to Sunday the 11th.
- Eid: no written rule, but the April 2024 deposit came a week early because it fell on the first day of Eid al-Fitr; the next case is March 2027.

What if the 10th falls on a Friday or Saturday?
On a Friday the deposit comes on Thursday the 9th, and on a Saturday on Sunday the 11th, according to the programme's FAQs. In 2027 the April and July deposits come on the 11th, and September and December on the 9th.
When is the March 2027 deposit, during Eid?
Nominally Wednesday 10 March 2027, which is 2 Shawwal 1448 (Eid al-Fitr) by Umm al-Qura. In April 2024 the deposit fell on the first day of Eid and the programme brought it forward to Wednesday 3 April, so March 2027 is likely to come early too; watch for the official announcement.
