The figures come from Ministry of Interior statements as reported by the press, as we found no published official table; it is also unclear whether the 14-day period applies when a residence expires. Results are estimates. To work out what you are owed when leaving a job, use the Qatar end-of-service calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to leave Qatar after my residence permit is cancelled?

14 days from the cancellation date, according to the Airport Passports Department in June 2026, down from 30 days. After that, a fine of QR 10 a day applies.

What is the fine for overstaying a visit visa in Qatar?

QR 200 for each day according to the same statement. Some sources cite a cap of QR 12,000, which we could not verify in an official source.

What is the fine for completing residence late after entry?

Residence procedures must be completed within 30 days of entry (Article 10 of Law 21/2015); otherwise the violation can be settled at QR 10 for each day of delay, up to QR 6,000, and a court fine can reach QR 10,000.

Is there a cap on the QR 10 daily fine after cancellation?

We found no published cap, so the calculator adds up the days without a limit.
