- Sewerage charge: 2 fils per gallon of water in 2026, rising to 2.8 fils from January 2027.
Example: a flat using 1,500 kWh and 20 m³ with an annual rent of AED 120,000, in November 2026: electricity 345 + fuel surcharge 90, water 154 + fuel surcharge 22, meters 10, so DEWA's items come to 621 plus VAT 31.05, sewerage 87.99 and housing fee 500. About AED 1,240 in total.
The calculator gives an estimate; the actual bill follows the meter reading, the number of days in the billing cycle and that month's fuel surcharge.
